Crepe, chiffon, satin: a guide to our fabrics
How each cloth drapes, feels and wears, and which to choose when.

The same pattern becomes a different garment in a different cloth. Here is how our three signature fabrics behave.
Crepe
Matte, with a fine pebbled surface and a satisfying weight. Crepe hangs in long, clean lines and resists creasing, which makes it the natural choice for everyday abayas and travel.
Chiffon
Sheer and weightless. In a dress it is layered over a lining so it floats without revealing; in a hijab it drapes softly and breathes well in the heat.
Satin
Smooth and fluid with a low sheen that catches the light as you move. We keep it for evenings and occasions, where its drape does the work that embellishment otherwise would.
