White suits more occasions than any other colour. Brides choose a plain white or ivory dress for a nikah, students for a graduation, and a white floral is an easy choice for Eid and for summer. The fabric changes the mood: satin has a soft sheen for a ceremony, crepe is matte and fluid, and chiffon is light and floating.

Most dresses come in US sizes 4 to 18 and most can be made to your own measurements.

Is a white dress see-through?

It depends on the fabric, and white shows more than dark colours do. Each product page says what the dress is made of and whether it is lined. Under a light or unlined dress, a slip dress keeps it opaque.

Which white dress for a nikah?

A plain white or ivory dress in satin or crepe is the usual choice, with a matching hijab. If you would like the fit to be exact for the day, most dresses can be made to measure; allow 14 extra working days, and note that a made-to-measure piece cannot be returned or exchanged.

Which size should I choose?

Compare your bust, waist and hips with the size guide, which also gives the EU and UK equivalent of every size. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger.

Can I return a dress?

A standard-size dress can be returned within 14 days of delivery, unworn, unwashed and with its tags. The details are on the returns page.
