What to wear to a wedding, modestly

A long-sleeved maxi dress is the natural choice: it covers, it moves, and in the right fabric it looks every bit as dressed as a gown. Satin catches the light, chiffon floats, and crepe keeps its line through a long day. Deep colours suit an evening wedding; soft prints and pastels suit a daytime one. Can the dress be made to fit me exactly?

Most of these dresses can be made to your own measurements: choose the design, send your measurements once, and the dress is cut for you. Allow the extra working days a made-to-measure piece needs.

Which size should I choose?

Compare your measurements with the size guide, which gives the EU and UK equivalent of every size. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger.

Can I return it?

A standard-size dress can be returned within 14 days of delivery, unworn, unwashed and with its tags. The details are on the returns page.
