This edit gathers our dresses in the colours of the season: brown, terracotta, mustard and amber, burgundy, teal and green. Some are plain, others carry florals and prints in the same warm shades.

The fabric changes how a dress wears as the days cool. Crepe is matte and has some weight, satin has a soft sheen for an evening or a wedding, and chiffon is light and layers well. Each product page says what the dress is made of and whether it is lined.

Most dresses come in US sizes 4 to 18 and most can be made to your own measurements.

How do I wear a dress in autumn?

Layer it. An open throw-over or an abaya in brown, coffee or khaki goes over any dress on this page, and a hijab in a matching or neutral shade finishes the look.

Which size should I choose?

Compare your bust, waist and hips with the size guide, which also gives the EU and UK equivalent of every size. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger. Most dresses can also be made to measure; allow 14 extra working days, and note that a made-to-measure piece cannot be returned or exchanged.

Can I return a dress?

A standard-size dress can be returned within 14 days of delivery, unworn, unwashed and with its tags. The details are on the returns page.
