The Atelier Circle – Terms

The Atelier Circle is the membership program of ANNAH HARIRI. These terms say how it works. They stand beside our terms of service and returns policy, which continue to apply to every order.

1. Who can join

  • Anyone with a customer account at ANNAH HARIRI is a member. Joining is free.
  • Membership is personal: one account for one person.
  • We may leave some accounts out of the program, for example staff, trade customers and test accounts.

2. Pearls

  • Pearls are the program's points. 100 Pearls take $5 off an order; one Pearl is worth 5 US cents.
  • Pearls have no cash value. They cannot be sold, transferred to another person, or exchanged for money, and they are not your property.
  • All amounts in the program are worked out in US dollars. For an order in another currency we use the exchange rate recorded on that order.

3. The welcome gift

  • When you create your account you receive 200 Pearls, worth $10, which can be used at once on an order of $70 or more.
  • The gift must be used within 60 days of joining. After that it expires. We send one reminder 7 days before.
  • It is one gift per person: one per email address, phone number, device and delivery address. An account at a temporary email service can join but does not receive it.
  • Customers who already had an account when the program opened received a launch gift of 200 Pearls on the same terms, valid for 60 days from the opening.
  • If an order paid partly with the gift is cancelled after the gift's last day, the gift is returned to you and can be used for 7 more days.

4. Earning Pearls

  • Orders. You earn Pearls on your qualifying spend: what you actually pay for your pieces, after any discount and after Pearls used. Delivery, DHL Express charges, duties, taxes, refunded pieces and anything we have left out of the program do not count. The number is your qualifying spend in US dollars multiplied by your tier's rate, rounded down.
  • Fit profile. 50 Pearls, once, when you first save your measurements to your account.
  • Reviews. 25 Pearls for a review of a piece you bought, or 50 Pearls if it has a photo, once per piece, after delivery and once the review has been published. The Pearls are the same whatever rating you give; a review is never rewarded for being favourable, and never refused for being critical. A review that earned Pearls is marked as rewarded.
  • Birthday. Once a year, on your birthday, Pearls according to your tier. Your birthday (day and month) must have been saved at least 30 days before. You can save it once; after that only we can correct it.
  • Inviting a friend. See section 9.
  • From time to time we may run an event during which orders earn more. The event says what it covers and when it ends.

5. When Pearls become available

  • Pearls from an order are written to your account as pending when your payment is confirmed. Choosing a payment method, or placing an order that is not yet paid, earns nothing.
  • For a made-to-measure piece, which cannot be returned, they become available when the order is dispatched.
  • For every other piece they become available 14 days after delivery or, where we have no record of the delivery, 45 days after dispatch.
  • Pearls from the welcome gift, a fit profile, a review or a birthday are available at once.
  • Only available Pearls can be used.

6. Using Pearls

  • Pearls are used in blocks of 100.
  • On one order you can use Pearls for up to 50% of the value of the pieces they can be used on, and never more than 1,000 Pearls ($50).
  • The minimum order of $70 is counted before Pearls are taken off.
  • Pearls cannot pay for delivery, DHL Express, duties or taxes.
  • Pearls cannot be used together with a promotional code on the same order.
  • The Pearls that expire soonest are used first; the welcome gift before anything else.
  • Pearls are held for your order when you place it and are spent when its payment is confirmed. If the order is cancelled, or is not paid in the time it is held for, they are returned to you automatically.

7. Tiers

  • There are four tiers: Chiffon (from the day you join), Satin (from $300), Silk (from $750), Couture (from $1,500). The figures are qualifying spend in the last 365 days, less anything returned or refunded.
  • Pearls per US dollar: Chiffon 1, Satin 1.25, Silk 1.5, Couture 2. Birthday Pearls: Chiffon 100, Satin 200, Silk 300, Couture 500.
  • Spend counts when the payment is confirmed. It stops counting if the piece is returned or refunded, or the payment is reversed.
  • You move up as soon as your spend reaches the next tier, and a new tier year starts that day. The rate of the new tier applies to orders paid from then on.
  • A tier, once reached, is kept for at least 365 days (the tier year). A tier that was reached only with pieces you then returned is withdrawn, and you go back to the tier you had.
  • At the end of your tier year we look again at your last 365 days. If your spend is below what your tier asks, you move down by one tier and never more than one. A new tier year then starts.
  • Satin: Early access to new collections, 48 hours before everyone else.
  • Silk: Early access to new collections, 48 hours before everyone else.
  • Couture: Early access to new collections, 72 hours before everyone else, with a private preview by email; A personal stylist on WhatsApp.

8. Expiry

  • Pearls, other than the welcome and launch gifts, expire after 12 months with no activity on your account. Activity means a paid order, earning Pearls, or using Pearls.
  • We write to you 30 days before Pearls expire.
  • If we change the expiry rule, the change applies only to Pearls earned after it.

9. Inviting a friend

  • Each member has a personal link and a short code. A link is remembered on your friend's device for 30 days.
  • Your friend receives the welcome gift every new member receives. There is no further discount.
  • Your friend must be new to us: her email has never ordered from us and she has never had a welcome gift.
  • You receive 200 Pearls when her first order has a qualifying spend of $100 or more and the Pearls of that order have become available. Only the first order counts.
  • At most 20 invitations are rewarded in any 365 days. Nothing is given for an order that is cancelled, unpaid, refunded or fraudulent.
  • You cannot invite yourself. An invitation where the friend shares your email, phone number, delivery address or payment details is not rewarded; others may be held while we check them.

10. Returns, cancellations and reversed payments

  • If you return a piece or it is refunded, the Pearls it earned are taken back, whether they were pending or available. If you have already used them, your balance is set to zero; it is never shown as negative.
  • If you used Pearls on an order and return a piece of it, the Pearls are shared over the pieces of the order by value; the share of the returned piece comes back to you as Pearls, and the money you paid for it is refunded as money.
  • If an order is cancelled before dispatch, all the Pearls it earned are taken back and all the Pearls used on it are returned.
  • If a payment is reversed, the order is treated as fully refunded.

11. Fair use

  • We may put a member's Pearls on hold while we look into something that does not seem right, and we will say why.
  • We may withdraw Pearls, and close a membership, where they were obtained by more than one account for one person, false details, self-invitation, or any other abuse of the program. Pearls earned honestly are not affected.
  • If you close your account, your Pearls end with it.

12. Changes to the program

  • We may change the program or end it. We will give members at least 30 days' notice by email and on this page.
  • Pearls that are available on the day of a change remain usable, on the terms in force before it, for at least 30 days after it.
  • A correction of an obvious mistake (for example Pearls added twice) may be made at once.

13. Your details

To run the program we keep your tier, your Pearls and how they were earned and used, your birthday (day and month) if you give it, and the invitations you send. To keep the welcome gift to one per person we keep a coded fingerprint, which cannot be read back, of your email, phone number, delivery address and the device you joined on. Our privacy policy says how to see, correct or remove what we hold.
