A batwing dress was planned by us since long but the sewing pattern was not finalised to perfection. After a lot of review, this batwing dress with pockets is exactly as we imaged it. To create that loose fit of the top, the shoulder hem line was slightly moved to the back. This also gives a more sophisticated look to a batwing cut of sleeves. Light fabric we used, finishes the whole delicate look allowing batwing sleeves to form soft tucks. A zipper was added at the back of the dress to create that look like the top of the dress is let out above the skirt. Symmetrical pleats at the front and back of the dress allow to create a pencil-like look of the skirt but at the same time does not constrain your steps while walking; and as always give extra modest coverage. Pockets - you just need them in every dress for a classy comfortable look. Belt is not included and is used for styling purpose only.
To create the look, the batwing sleeves are narrow at the cuff area. To make a wudhu, you can simply unzip the dress from the back, pull out the hand and complete the ablution.
